January 5, 2010 I wanted to let you know about some upcoming radio interviews I have to talk about my work and my new book "How to Thrive in Changing Times". I will be a guest for two radio interviews with Chris Flisher in January. Chris is a brilliant astrologer and artist. He has a book out Mandalas - Spirit in Art. I really look forward to our interview as although he comes from a different approach he also teaches that it is important to really focus on the unlimited potential we do have to create change versus getting lost in doom and gloom prophecies. My first interview with him will be on January 7 and we will talk about the work I wrote about in How to Heal Toxic Thoughts. The second interview with Chris will be on January 21 and the topic will be on what I wrote about in How to Thrive in Changing Times. Hank Wesselman will be joining me in the interview where we will speak about our new book Awakening to the Spirit World: The Shamanic Path of Direct Revelation. I will also talk a bit about How to Thrive in Changing Times and my new CD program titled "Shamanic Meditations: Guided Journeys for Insight, Vision, and Healing". THE WAY OF THE SHAMAN During this experiential workshop, participants are introduced to the practice of shamanism, including universal methods used by the shaman to enter nonordinary reality for problem solving and healing. Particular emphasis is on the classic shamanic journey, one of the most remarkable visionary methods utilized to explore hidden universes otherwise known primarily through myth and dream. Participants are initiated into shamanic journeying, aided by drumming and other techniques for experiencing the shamanic state of consciousness and for awakening dormant spiritual abilities, including connections with Nature. Practice includes comparisons by participants of their discoveries in shamanic journeys as well as being introduced to shamanic divination and healing. Participants learn how the journey is utilized to help restore spiritual power and health, and how shamanism can be applied in contemporary daily life to help heal one-self, others, and the Planet.
